When we met again in person, it was as if no time had passed; the familiarity was instant, but we were now mature adults with a clearer sense of who we are. We realized the person who knew us best in youth still understood us most deeply now. This attraction is no longer the thrill of youth but a bond founded on trust and shared history. Rather than a whirlwind, our love has been a slow burn of rediscovery as we navigated the complexities of combining established lives. After thirty years apart, we find ourselves holding hands, finally united.
